What is Paint Correction?
As your local professional auto detailers in Charlotte, North Carolina we would love to get into the specifics of what exactly paint correction is, but we want to keep it as simple as possible so that we do not bore you.
Commonly known as car polishing, machine polishing, or even swirl mark removal, paint correction is when imperfections are removed within your vehicle’s surface, such as swirl marks, water spots, etching, marring, and light oxidation. The list can go on and on but these are the most common things that are removed during the paint correction process.

Level 1
WASH, CLAY, PAINT CLEANSE, & POLISH

Removes Iron Fallout, Overspray, etched in Contaminants and Cleanses the Paint before an application of Waxes, Sealents, Coatings, Wraps, and PPF
No Correction & Removes 10% or more of Surface Level Scratches
This process begins with a exterior detail using the multiple wragg method and completely stripping the paint with paint safe degreaser.
The car is completely decontaminated and the paint surface is treated with Iron remover and a clay bar to remove any remaining debris.
When you clay the paint you introduce marring which are microscopic scratches caused by the physical clay decontamination and before the chemical paint decontamination. It can only be removed by performing a single pass buff and polish at minimum. This restores the paint to the original condition.
Once these contaminants are removed then you can properly apply a wax, sealant, coating, ppf, or vinyl wrap and be assured that it will bond to the paint properly

Our 1 Stage Paint Polish & Enhancement adds shine and protection. This detail option is perfect to keep your paint looking fresh, however, it will not correct any swirling or scratching already present.

This is the difference maker when trying to restore your paint and make it more visually appealing. We start with our in-depth hand wash and thorough decontamination of the vehicle.
With this correction, we are aiming to remove about 75% of the defects from your paint and leave a dramatically improved surface. We use a compound to remove swirls, scratches, and randomized defects from the clear coat.
Polish is used to remove any remaining light swirls or scratches to add optical clarity and depth to the paint.
Once the correction stages are complete the vehicle is finished with a high-quality silica spray sealant, or a Ceramic Spray Coating for added shine and additional protection

Full Correction, Wet Sanding & Polishing. This Service Removes 90% to 99% or More of Some Deep Scratches
Wet sanding is a process where we use special sandpaper that is supposed to be wet with water. Very wet. The water acts like a lubricant plus helps remove tiny particles so that the sandpaper does not get clogged and create deep scratches. Granted, the act of sanding does create small scratches. However we use finer and finer grits of sandpaper to make those scratches smaller and smaller as we get the finish as flat as possible.
Car compounding refers to the process of using compounds (polishing, rubbing or cutting) in order to restore the damaged car paintwork surfaces. The abrasive qualities of the car compounds are able to smooth & restore the clearcoat layer
